I believe people are what they buy. Take for instince TV's, you cant walk into most people's houses now days and not find a big flat screeen TV. It says something about that person, and the bigger the TV the bolder the statement. It is all about what you own and what kind of toys you can show off today. Everybody has to have the next big and greatest thing.
You begin very well here, and I think you have an interesting point in the end. But I'd like to see you direct us toward that point earlier. You say that tv's make a statement about a person. But what is that statement exactly? Does it have to do with your last point (people with a bigger tv are people who are addicted to getting the latest and greatest thing)? And explain that connection. How exactly do items like those show a personality? Is it about money? Is it about being first?
ReplyDeleteIn general, I think your paragraph could be expanded with more examples and more explanation of exactly what you mean.
